Supinator myalgia (trigger point / muscle knot)


The supinator is the muscle with a trigger point pain pattern from the elbow and toward the wrist at the thumb. This can occur if it becomes overactive, tight and dysfunctional. A so-called supinator myalgia, also known as a supinator trigger point or muscle knot. Regularly self massage, stretching, exercises and any treatment of a musculoskeletal expert (chiropractor, physical therapist, manual therapist) are all examples of measures that can help you get rid of myalgia.

- Often stiff and dysfunctional joints (also read: joint pain - joint locks?) be a partial cause of myalgia, as the limited joint joint can also have a negative effect on muscular function. Joint treatment with a chiropractor or manual therapist may be helpful in such cases.

 

Old pillows? Buying new?

New pillows of a special material may also be helpful in case of recurrent myalgia of the upper back and neck - if you are considering investing in one then recommend several studies this pillow.

Exercise and movement are good for body and soul:
