How Can I Avoid Flu Colds?

Flu cold affects many Norwegians every year, but are there any good measures that can help us avoid runny nose, heavy head, mild fever and coughing? We give you three good measures that will help you avoid this year's flu flu - without resorting to vaccines, although the latter may be necessary if you are an older, morbid person.

1. Drink green tea

A study (1) conducted in 2011 among over 200 health workers who worked daily with the elderly, examined whether capsules with the active extracts in green tea - catechins and theanine - could prevent and prevent people from being infected with the influenza virus. The results were extremely positive, and significantly less influenza was seen among the health workers who received green tea extract. The study concluded that green tea can prevent flu among health workers.

"Among healthcare workers for the elderly, taking green tea catechins and theanine may be effective prophylaxis for influenza infection."

2. Eat garlic

Even if you can get a bit of a garlic breath the next day, garlic can help prevent you from being dragged along in this year's flu wave. A study among 120 healthy people (2), where 60 were given garlic extract and 60 did not - showed a decrease in sick days of 61%, symptom reduction of 21% and the number of school / working days that one had to be at home was reduced by 58%. Study conclusion:

"These results suggest that supplementation of the diet with aged garlic extract may enhance immune cell function and that this may be responsible, in part, for reduced severity of colds and flu."

Swanson Odor Controlled Garlic: The best of the garlic extract, but without the garlic spirit! That sounds almost too good to be true, but Swanson has had to remove the rent side effect with the garlic breath the following day, leaving us with only the health benefits. Hurra!

3. Drink chamomile tea or eat chamomile extract

Drinking chamomile tea can relieve flu symptoms, but their right concentration of antioxidants can also have a preventative effect.

Conclusion:

So much can be done by implementing regular intake of green tea, garlic and chamomile. As research has shown that results in a significant reduction in the number of symptoms, incidences and disease days. Good investments for better health - all as one. This article is also of value to employers who want to keep sickness absence down among their employees, because as we all know, sick leave is very expensive - both for taxpayers and employers.
