Treatment

There are many different treatments for musculoskeletal ailments, among which with the best documented effect we mention in the first place chiropractic, physical therapy and manual therapy. Here is some information about the different forms of treatment and their education.

chiropractic

A chiropractor treats both joints and muscles, don't let anyone tell you anything else. Their distinctive feature is that they may possess the utmost competence when it comes to treating joint-related dysfunction. Make sure your chiropractor is a member of NKF (Norwegian Chiropractor Association), this is a quality stamp that shows that your clinician has complied with Norwegian guidelines and passed the rotation year after completing 5 years of university education.

The main goal of chiropractic is to reduce pain, promote mobility and thus also improve the quality of life and general health by restoring and normalizing function in joints, muscles, connective tissue but also nervous system. The treatment provided is always prepared based on the patient's overall health situation and overall perspective. Chiropractors treat young, old, pregnant and infants with good results.

Physiotherapy

This type of treatment includes manual techniques, exercises and possible use of technical methods such as. TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation). Treatment here can vary greatly based on clinician and clinic. The education consists of a 3-year college education with a subsequent 1 year in tournament service.

manual Therapy

In many ways much of the same as chiropractic, but is often considered to be without the same expertise in joint treatment. This is of course very subjective - and there are both good and bad manual therapists, just as there are bad eggs in all other industries. Treatment is by non-invasive, manual methods to relieve pain, restore or improve the body's functions - i.a. by traction and mobilization.

- Spinology: Spinology is a form of treatment based on knowledge from Persian healing, with roots dating back almost 4000 years according to the website of Moravia Monastic University - but Spinology as a profession was first started in the 1980s, then through a man from London, Dr. Reginald Gold . Spinology is not a recognized form of treatment, and not public health authority in Norway.

Spinology is an alternative treatment that treats a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, but with focus only on the spine. Unfortunately, there seems to be virtually no research in this area. It is a spiritual form of treatment, which seeks to unite body and mind, by assisting the body to heal itself. read more here .
